Guten Tag! Thanks for checking out my site! I currently teach German 1-4 and 5th grade band in Luverne. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 grown sons (and all of our pets, too!). I also enjoy reading, quilting, watching HGTV, and traveling.
As far as my educational background, I have loved the study of German from the moment I walked into my first German classroom (naturally, at Luverne High School!!). I studied German for all 4 years of my time in high school, and continued these studies at Augustana College. In addition to my interest in German, I have been a lifelong musician. I began my music education at age 4...with piano lessons! I continued to take advantage of every musical opportunity throughout my education. I received my B.A. in both German and Music Education from Augustana College. In 2004, I completed my M.S. degree from Southwest Minnesota State University. My learning continues as I study current trends in teaching at frequent workshops and conferences. Most recently, I attended the National Institute: Cutting-Edge Technology to Enhance World Language Learning in Chicago during July of 2013. I'm looking forward to using even more of these new technologies in my classroom this year!
